If Metrolosys is for Quality Personnel, then I assume extensive CNC programming and machine-tool operation would be a requirement?
Not true. Metrolosys is used off-line in the Quality Department. Quality personnel create an inspection process as they would in programming a CMM. Metrolosys is based on the DMIS programming language, utilizing GD&T standards. Therefore, Quality people understand immediately how to apply measurements and tolerances during the creation of the inspection process. As for probing G-code, Metrolosys does the rest, by merely selecting a machine-tool post processor from a list. The final probing program is then sent to the machine using the same method you use to send a part program to the machine; i.e.: DNC, floppy, network, RS-232, etc.
