If Manchester United were to beat Liverpool in tomorrows Premiership match at Anfield, it would give United a very good chance of winning the league title. At the moment United’s league at the top of the Premiership is nine points, although they have played a game more than their nearest rivals Chelsea. Victory tomorrow would increase that margin by three, to twelve, and many pundits and fans would argue that despite Chelsea’s two games in hand, twelve points with less than a dozen games remaining would be too much for the Londoners to make up. Should United lose tomorrow, and with the red devils still having to go to Stamford Bridge this season, the title race would be blown wide open again and the twice successive league champions would feel a third title would be with in their grasp. With this in mind, tomorrows game is a fixture United can ill afford to lose so a draw would be the most likely outcome.
