If LMFR builds the proposed new fire station on the Villages property on the Square, will the LMFR pay the Village for the land upon which the new fire station will be constructed?
We are not aware of any information that addresses the potential transfer of Village property to LMFR for a fire station and whether any compensation will be paid to the Village. At the Village Council’s meeting of the whole, on March 31, 2009, a resident inquired about whether LMFR would pay the Village fair value for any land that it dedicates for the construction of the alleged new fire station in the Village. Village officials seemed unprepared, and only answered that the ballot has to pass first before this issue can be addressed.
