If Light did not exist anywhere in the Universe, would time still exist?
Let me help clarify some of the aspects of light and time a little bit. Light and time are interchangable. All the light the earth recieves may be of different wavelengths but it travels at the same constant speed. Even if a star was traveling away from the earth at the speed of light the light shining from that star would still reach the earth at the speed of light, approx. 300,000 km/s. The only way that this is accomplished is that even though earth time may go by regularly the time for the star would stand still. Some predictions have it that if humans were able to travel faster than the speed of light that we would be able to travel back in to time. Just a little bit more to help clarify. Light is given off in the form of protons when an atom goes from an excited energy state to a lower energy state. This is a simple biproduct of heat, gravity, and the existence of atoms.
