If KHS has such large cash reserves, why can’t it finance the entire project?
Over the past 30 years, Kishwaukee Community Hospital has achieved consistent financial stability. However, the system’s resources are by no means sufficient to finance this project without outside resources. By using its own funds, bonded indebtedness and a community campaign, the system can execute a plan that maintains its financial stability. This financing plan will reduce overall interest expense, and allow us to maintain essential cash reserves and continue investing in patient care.
