If Ive trimmed the wick too short and am having trouble lighting it, what can I do?

When this occurs, we recommend the following trouble shooting technique. Dig out around the wick, light it and slowly rotate the jar carefully while the candle is lit over a table or other stable surface. Hopefully this will get the wick higher than the surrounding wax level and allow you to burn the candle to completion.
