If Im planning on using nitro on a Blazer, should I get HP/LP valving?
A. That all depends on the pressure that you want to run your gun at to actually fire the ball. If you are of the “Low Pressure” school of thought and want to use pressures below about 550 psi; then the Hv/Lp valving is required. Hv/Lp valving also requires pressures into the gun be kept below 550 psi for proper operation. I run my own equipment with standard valving and about 550 psi into the gun. Lower firing pressures tend to lower the effectiveness of the shot down range.
