All the Hammer Nutrition fuels are perfectly compatible with each other so you can use them interchangeably if desired. For longer workouts and races you can: 1. Use Sustained Energy or Perpetuem your sole calorie source every hour from beginning to end, or: 2. You can use Hammer Gel and/or HEED occasionally during the workout/event, as long as Sustained Energy or Perpetuem is the primary source of fuel (approximately two-thirds to, ideally, three-quarters of the time).
