If I were to use sand in the bottom of my triops tank so they can dig and bury their eggs, would sand from a beach be ok, if it was thoroughly rinsed first?

Sand works fine for the tadpole shrimp. However, it is important to thoroughly clean the sand, to make sure no salt is in it or other impurities that would mess up the fresh water.
