If I was terminated and therefore not employed during the May election period, but later I am reinstated with pay through the grievance process, can I receive the bonus payment or bonus leave?
Yes, reinstatement with pay is generally intended to make the employee whole. Therefore, you would be allowed to elect a bonus payment or bonus leave. If you choose the bonus leave option, you must use the leave before June 30, 2003. If you select the bonus payment, that payment should be made as soon as practical. The salary basis will be your salary in effect on July 1, 2002.
