If I wanted private health care, I would pay for BUPA. I don’t want my hospital services privatised – is this just a way to carve up the NHS even more?
All the services in the preferred solution will continue to be commissioned by the NHS and will remain free at the point of delivery. No one will be charged to receive any services, although people are still free to take out private medical insurance as well if they want to. This is about making sure people receive the best possible care, not who pays for it.
