If I use Excel, another spreadsheet, my Mac, or WebCT to manage grades and only want to use MMS to submit my final grades to the Registrar, how can I transfer my grades into MMS?
• In Excel, or the spreadsheet software of your choice, ensure that your Student Number column is labeled exactly as Student Number. Export or save the grade spreadsheet as a CSV file. Transfer the CSV file to a computer where MMS is installed. Then in MMS, use File > Import as CSV…. MMS will display all the CSV column titles so that one of them may be selected for subsequent import into an MMS grade column. The contents of the CSV Student Number field are used to match against the MMS student number field to ensure accurate grade transfer. Note: Multiple column csv files created by Excel often truncate trailing columns when there is no data in the trailing cells for a record.
