If I take ill-health, severe ill-health or terminal ill-health payments from the FAS, what will my husband, wife or civil partner be entitled to if I die?
Your husband, wife or civil partner will be eligible for FAS payments if you die. These are based on half the amount of your FAS entitlement. However, if your monthly FAS payments were actuarially reduced or were revalued to an earlier date, this will have affected the amount you were receiving and thus also the amount your husband, wife or civil partner will be entitled to.
