If I take DNP coursework and additional courses in the area of nursing education, do I qualify for Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP) support?
Yes, as mentioned above, students who add three additional nurse educator courses (a total of 9 hours) will qualify for NFLP support; view curriculum plan here. NFLP is a federally funded program than can cover costs related to tuition, fees, and books. Post graduation, students accepting NFLP funds must adhere to federal regulations related to working as a full-time nurse educator in academe in order to cancel the loan award.
