If I submit a claim for a doctors appointment I have during the grace period, how do I know if that claim will be paid out of my 2005 account or my 2006 account?
Any Pay Me Back claims or Pay My Provider payments that cover expenses incurred during the new 2005 plan year grace period will initially be paid out of your 2006 account. After the 2005 plan year run-out period is over, any remaining balance in your 2005 account will be used to pay back your 2006 account for those expenses that were paid out of your 2006 account and incurred during the 2005 grace period. The amount of the credit to your 2006 account will be the amount of your 2005 remaining balance or the amount of expenses incurred during the 2005 grace period and paid out of your 2006 account no later than the end of the 2005 run-out period, whichever is less. Example: You file a claim for $50 incurred on 2/15/2006 during the new grace period. Your 2006 account will be used to reimburse you $50 when that claim is processed. Your 2005 account has a remaining balance of $87 at the end of the 2005 run-out period. Your 2006 account will be credited $50 from your 2005 account to cover pa
