This depends, but more than likely a DJ first starting out will start in a sub-optimal (depending on your perspective) timeslot. DJs that have been with us the longest and put the most into the station have seniority over the “good” (afternoon/night/weekend) time slots. It’s worth noting that morning slots, while unpopular with some college students, are widely listened to by Lexingtonians (particularly commuters). DJs just starting out have to pay their dues like everyone else that came before them, and this typically means morning slots.
