In general, the decision points are as follows: For those taking Engineering 1 (a general engineering option commonly taken in first year), a change in the Engineering courses studied can be made; for example, to change an outside option for an Engineering course, or to switch to a different branch of Engineering. This must take place before the end of January in the first year. (Note that Chemistry is required for Chemical Engineering).
