IF I REFER VICTIMS/SURVIVORS’ CASES TO ATTORNEYS IN A JUDICARE PROGRAM, OR TO ATTORNEYS WHO HAVE AGREED TO DISCOUNT THEIR FEES, SHOULD I CONSIDER THEM TO BE PRO BONO FOR PURPOSES OF THIS FORM?
If your grant application states that you will coordinate, recruit, mentor and/or refer victim/survivor cases to Judicare and discounted fees attorneys, then you may report those activities in the pro bono section of the form. If your grant specifies that you will coordinate, recruit, mentor and/or refer victim/survivor cases to pro bono, or no fee, attorneys and you only provided referrals to discounted fee or Judicare attorneys when you were unable to refer cases to pro bono attorneys, you would not count the discounted fee or Judicare attorneys in the pro bono section of the form.
