If I receive assistance for a lift chair what are my chances to receive Medicare help and a Scooter or a Medical Driven Power Chair.?
Medicare will cover a portion of your lift chair if you submit the receipt to them, however this portion is minimal. With the current Medicare policies and codes in place, it is best for you to pay out of pocket for a lift chair. If your condition might worsen quickly, because it is hard for Medicare to approve you for a Power Operated Vehicle (POV) scoot or wheelchair if you are physically able to use a lift chair.
