If I receive an exclusion statement will I have to wait a year before I can re-enrol at Uni?
If you are excluded from the University you have 14 days to submit an appeal. In your appeal you will need to explain the mitigating factors that contributed to your unsatisfactory academic performance and how you have addressed them so that you will be able to successfully complete your studies at QUT. Such mitigating circumstances could include: Ill health Family problems Work problems and pressures Relationship breakdowns Financial problems Any other mitigating circumstances Collect and include relevant documentary evidence that will support your case. Examples include medical certificates, letters from counsellors and statutory declarations from those that can testify as to the impact the mitigating circumstances have had on your studies. If possible make use of the services that QUT offers such as counselling.
