If I need to take a class numbered below 100, or EAP 100 or EAP 121, or EAP 131 will Running Start pay for it?
No. Running Start will only pay for college level classes, numbered 100 and above. Any class numbered below 100 and EAP 100, EAP 121 or EAP 131 are considered a self-pay classes. EAP courses are college preparation courses and not yet at the college level. Other self-pay classes include: in excess of 18 credits, summer courses, audits, and continuing education classes. To register for a self-pay class, you will need a letter from your high school counselor giving you permission to take that specific class, during a specific quarter here. The letter must be on high school letterhead and signed by your high school counselor. It is your responsibility to transfer grades from any self-pay classes to your high school. To do this, you will need to request an official transcript to be sent to your high school. Complete the form at Enrollment Services.
