If I interface a Knowledge Pathways course using AICC with an LMS, will the end user still have access to all the online course features available in the Knowledge Pathways interface?
A. When an organization packages a Knowledge Pathways course for LMS delivery using AICC or SCORM, the LMS will be responsible for controlling the students access to the course as specified in AICC and SCORM implementation guides. The LMS, in effect, will sequence and manage the delivery of the AUs, i.e. Assignable Units or Learning Objects, to the students based on how the course is packaged (course structure) and it’s own delivery logic. Therefore, end users will not get certain course features available in the Knowledge Pathways course interface because in this configuation, the Knowledge Pathways interface is not in control-the LMS is.
