If I have previous college credit, do I need to take the Accuplacer exam?

You will not need the Accuplacer for math placement if you have completed a math course within the past year at another institution with a “C” grade or higher, or you have already fulfilled your math requirement for your degree. If you have completed the equivalent of ENGL 1010 with a grade of “C” or higher, you will also be exempt from taking the reading portion of the Accuplacer for placement into English classes.
