A13.14 The Guard Dugal is maintaining for you must be played when Dugal is played so this wouldn’t work. But, by Focusing Dugal, you can avoid the two damage on this turn from losing the prior Guard. After your turn, Dugal will return and since the original Guard is now gone, he will leave play and inflict the damage on your next turn.
