If I have college-level credit for English or Mathematics courses taken while a Youth Options student at another college or university, do I have to take the UW-System Math and English Placement Test?
If you have taken classes in both English Composition and Mathematics at a college or university, usually through a Youth Options program, then you are not required to take the UW-System Math and English Placement Test. If you have taken only English courses, then you must take the Math part of the Placement Test. If you have taken only Math courses, then you must take the English part of the Placement Test. You must have the official transcripts sent to UWP so we have documentation on these classes when it is time for you to register. Write this information on the New Student Registration–Pioneer Passage reservation-to-register card. If you have additional questions about the tests, please call 608-342-1033 for information.
