Advanced Standing is a term that only applies to the holders of accredited BSW degrees who can be granted a waiver of the Foundation year of the MSW curriculum. A potential transfer student from another MSW program, will have to apply to the Graduate Division to request transfer of his/her previously-earned, accredited graduate social work education courses. All rules of the Graduate Division regarding transfer of credits apply: http://www.catalog.hawaii.edu/grad-ed/credit.
