If i have a bottle of rum/ whiskey and leave rest in the fridge for few weeks, is it still ok to finnish it?
You don’t need to refrigerate rum or whiskey. If you do, then you take the bottle out of the fridge, water will condense inside as the bottle warms, which will eventually harm the flavour of the contents. Keep them at room temperature, but properly closed, so the alcohol won’t evaporate. The alcohol will prevent any bacterial growth, so as long as you keep the bottle closed properly, it won’t go bad or otherwise poison you. Other milk- or cream-based drinks, like Kahlua or Bailey’s, advise refrigeration because they do contain milk products, and these might sour or otherwise spoil if not refrigerated. Vodka often gets put in the freezer, because it tastes good that way. White wine is refrigerated before serving to enhance its flavour. But hard liquor won’t need refrigeration at all.
