If your opponent’s shot hits you, you were certainly in the way and a stroke is awarded to your opponent. His appeal is of course “let please”. No, YOU have no right of appeal i.e. you cannot appeal. You must ensure you are out of the way when it is the opponent’s turn to hit the ball. It is not good enough to just ‘think’ you are not obstructing.
