If i fail an AP test, do i have to retake the AP course again in college?
Some AP courses are required for college, others aren’t. It depends on both the school you’ll be attending and the program(s) that you’re in. The best way to find out is to contact an advisor. Most schools have a minimum that a student needs to get the AP test to get credit for the course that the test covers. Usually, that minimum is a four or five. If you get anything less, you’ll have to take that class in order to get the credit. If you do get four or five, you get credit for the course in college. Ex.: I took three AP classes my senior year of high school. One was French and my university doesn’t regard the foreign language AP tests at all, so that will be exempt from the argument. My other two classes were psychology and English. I got a five on the psychology test and I was exempt from taking the lowest level psychology class at my university. It was helpful since I’m a psychology minor. It wouldn’t really count for anything if I wasn’t studying the subject. English, unfortunate
