If I enter zero (0) for estimated premiums, the calculator’s results display a percentage increase but don’t display additional premiums. Why?
The results are displaying the correct information. This claim scenario will change the additional claim costs, increased experience factor and % of increase but if you are planning on paying 0 (zero) premiums for the rating year selected, additional premiums cannot be calculated. In order to show an increase in premiums you must enter a dollar amount in the estimated premiums field.
