If I do not live near a Military Treatment Facility, do I still need to enroll in Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) to be eligible for Extended Care Health Option (ECHO) benefits?
Yes, enrollment is still required. A DD 2792 and/or a DD 2792-1 must be completed. Forms can be obtained in our Materials and Forms section or at your local Recruiting Office. To find out more about your ECHO benefits, please contact your Branch of Service or contact a Special Needs Coordinator at www.militaryhomefront.dod.mil/efm.
