Westfield does not offer the bell housing conversion but they are available from a number of Midget/Sprite specialists. In order to fit a Ford Sierra “Type-9” gearbox, you will need the gearbox mounting rubber bushing, 5-speed speedometer cable and 90-degree speedometer cable angle fitting. It is important to note that the Ford Sierra “Type 9” 5-speed gearbox that was sold in the U.S. for the Merkur XR4Ti and Scorpios has a different (longer) input shaft than the U.K. spec version. You need to confirm with the specific supplier of the modification kit that a U.S. spec “Type 9” gearbox will work. If needed, Manik can help you source a U.K. spec Sierra Type-9 gearbox.
