No. The “skills courses,” i.e. Firearms, DAAT, EVOC, SFST, along with several others, are the “required” electives for this program option. Students voluntarily pursue this option and these courses are required by the Wisconsin Department of Justice/ Training and Standards Bureau for certifiability.
