If I change employment between day care operations or if I work at multiple sites, will the fingerprint check transfer?

When a fingerprint check request is submitted to DFPS, a search of the Child Care Licensing database is conducted to verify whether or not the individual has a valid fingerprint check record on file. If a valid fingerprint check record already exists, the individual will not need a fingerprint check, and a “Fingerprint check is not required” e-mail will be sent to the operation informing them the person has already had a fingerprint check and another is not needed at this time. The results from the previous fingerprint check will then be sent to the operation requesting the fingerprint check. If the fingerprint check record is not valid or a record does not exist, a “Fingerprint check is required” e-mail will be sent to the operation and the individual must schedule a fingerprinting appointment with IBT.
