Response: No. When using an automated billing system, the provider has the option of signing each invoice individually, using a signature stamp, or submitting the invoices with the Signature Transmittal Form MA-37. If the MA-307 is used, the provider’s signature, or signature stamp, is not required on the invoice. When the MA-307 is used, invoices must be separated and batched (maximum of 100 invoices per transmittal) according to the individual provider who rendered the service. The MA-307 must have an original handwritten signature of a Service Bureau Representative, the provider, or his designee.
