The current framework regulating doctoral courses does not establish a time limit for the reading of the thesis. You must apply to the academic unit responsible for new acceptance to doctoral courses (form I, which you will find at http://doctorat.upc.edu/impresos). The unit may decide to partially or fully adapt the studies you have completed and passed previously. In this case, registration of these new credits to the new studies is done by means of adaptation, and is therefore free of charge. Once admitted, the unit may require you to present a new project/proposal for the thesis. For programmes regulated according to RD 778/1998, in order to obtain the Diploma of Advanced Studies, it is an absolute requisite that in the framework of the studies for which you have been accepted, you must pass a minimum of 6 supervised research credits.
