If I bail someone out of jail…..?
OK, lets get something clear up front. BAIL is a way to make sure the accused shows up for court INSTEAD of spending the intervening time behind bars waiting for actual trail. The higher the bail, the more you LOSE if the accused does NOT show up. Simple… If YOU provide bail for someone ELSE, then simply put… YOU ARE ON THE HOOK, fior the party you bailed OUT. If they do NOT appear, YOU lost the amount you pledged for bail! Are you really SURE you want to obligate yourself for this? REALLY? ARE YOU SURE? Then, if a person does NOT appear, then bail is forfiet, AND the court will put out a bench warrant for arrest, so not only will you LOSE the amount you placed for bail but also there will be a warrant out for arrest, which is what bounty hunters thrive on! What gets me about bail is… it is a bond to assure appearance. Bail bondsmen simply use your fee to make a profit as MOST people WILL appear and the bond is not forfeit, which means the bondsman gets to keep ALL of what you pa
