If I am selected as a Robertson Scholar, can I still participate in a DukeEngage program?
Robertson scholars are required to participate in the Community Building summer experience the summer after their first year at university. A minimum of eight consecutive weeks must be spent on location to complete this requirement. That said, the dates for the Robertson summer programs are not set and scholars have some degree of flexibility as they plan their summer. If a student can arrange their Robertson and DukeEngage programs such that they do not conflict, then participation in DukeEngage is certainly encouraged.
