It’s a good idea to be up to date with your routine tetanus-diphtheria-polio shot. Your food is only as good as the person handling it – consider hepatitis A vaccine. Finally, if you require medical care, or have unprotected sex while away, you are at risk of hepatitis B. So the risks are there, though they may be small. The traveller has to decide.
