If I am currently a paramedic student, can I use the hours in the didactic phase of training to supplement the required continuing educations units need to recertify?
All NCTI paramedic students are eligible to receive continuing education units, depending on their current status in the program. Students can contact the Educational Assistant at their school to obtain a letter documenting the number of continuing education units they are eligible to receive. However, paramedic school does meet the criterion necessary for skills testing. Students will need to register in the fourth day of the NCTI EMT-Basic Refresher course in order to complete this portion of recertification (including the EMSA skills sign-off sheet) once they have obtained their continuing education units.
