If I am an active Transportation Subsidy Program participant, can I receive retro–active transit passes covering past time periods?
Occasions in which it would be necessary to receive retro-active transit passes should be rare and unusual, as there are multiple opportunities and methods to acquire your transit passes. If warranted, active program participants may receive no more than one quarter (three months) of retro-active transit passes, and must submit their justification in writing, through their supervisor, to their bureau or office Transportation Subsidy Program Coordinator. If request is approved, the Transportation Subsidy Program Coordinator shall authorize retroactive transit passes, in writing, to the DOT. An exception would be if you are enrolled in the SmartBenefits® program.
