If I am accepted to the Training Program in Rehabilitaiton Research, am I still eligible for additional awards or funding from CIHR?
Yes, the Canadian Institute of Health Research will still allow you to apply for other CIHR funding. Successful Strategic Training Fellows should apply to the appropriate competitions of SSHRC, NSERC or CIHR each year. Awardees will then be able to accept the larger award as well as receive a ‘top-up’ from the QLP training program. This helps to provide the greatest degree of flexibility in funding the maximum number of trainees.
