If I am absent for more than seven days and eligible for lost wage benefits, do I receive money from Worker’s Compensation?

Worker’s Compensation provides benefits for 2/3rds of lost wages. Wage benefit checks are issued to the employee through Human Resource Management. If an employee uses accrued sick leave, he/she will be asked to endorse the wage benefit check. That check will be deposited into an LSUHSC account and Human Resource Management will reimburse the employee for 2/3rds of the sick leave used. If an employee is absent more than 42 days, he/she will be compensated for the first 7 days.
