If I am a foreigner, can I own a Taal View Heights lot?
Philippine laws prohibit foreigners other than natural born Filipinos who lost citizenship from acquiring ownership of real property in the Philippines . However, in the event that a foreigner is interested in a Taal View Heights lot and has a Philippineborn spouse (whether or not the spouse has changed citizenship status), we strongly encourage that the lot be acquired under the name of the Philippine-born spouse. However, for foreigners who are not married to Philippine-born spouses or who want the property under their name even if they have a Philippine-born spouse, they can engage in a leasehold agreement. In lieu of a Contract of Sale, a Contract of Lease will be executed and signed by both parties with a maturity of fifty years that is extendable once the lot is fully paid. The individual title to the lot, as per the Contract of Lease, will be made available to the lot buyer upon full payment of the lot.
