If I access Glastir AWE through the 50% points reduction route for certified organic producers and I opt out of organic production before the Glastir contract ends can I complete the Glastir contract?
No. You must commit to organic farming for the 5 years of the Glastir contract. An opt out will constitute a breach and lead to recovery and possibly a penalty. If you are uncertain as to your future regarding organic production you should access AWE through the standard scorecard for conventional producers.
