If I accepted Jesus as my personal saviour but did not get baptised, am I saved?

If you accept Jesus as your savior, & was to get killed in a car wreck the same night, then yes you are saved, But if you live on & refuse to be baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, then the answer is no, because God allowed you time to be baptized & you never done it.

Of course you are. Jesus died for everyone. Being baptized is great because then you are part of the community of Jesus, and that helps you to live your ‘saved’ life – it’s hard to be an individual Christian. But God wants the fullness of life for all of us – I can’t see the Almighty, Omnipotent, All-Holy Creator of All nitpicking about whether you were baptized or not. I think God is jumping up and down with joy because you’ve acknowledged and accepted Him. (Though perhaps I shouldn’t talk like that because it stirs up all the people who want to believe that religious people are all childish, scared, superstitious inventors of gods)!

Yes, you need to believe in Jesus and be baptized, but that is not enough. Once saved not always saved. You need to keep obeying the commands of Jesus as told in the bible. John 17:3 ” This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.” You need to search for the truth, prove it to yourself that then keep on doing what is right. A vital part of this is the teaching work. You received free – give free. Tell others about what you have learned and help then come to an accurate understanding of the bible. If you really and truly want to know the answer to your question, it is best to ask God himself. Pray to God through Jesus Christ and he will help you.
