Potency is a measure of the depth of a remedy’s action, which is not the same as it’s strength. Homeopathic remedies are produced using the processes of dilution and succussion (vigorous shaking) which raises the vibrational level of the remedy. For example, if the homeopath is treating a superficial physical complaint, such as a skin eruption, a low potency, frequently repeated may match the vibrational level better than a high potency.
