In a nutshell it’s because Floss Minder 2.xx was pirated and anyone who wanted to could search the internet for a registration ID that worked when you entered the user name Rick Allard. In order to put an end to this illegal software piracy we developed a new registration algorithm and developed a new update database that allows us to check to see if users of Floss Minder 3.0 updates are using illegal registration IDs. So if your Floss Minder 2.xx registration user name is listed as Rick Allard dont attempt to get tech support or a FREE upgrade to Floss Minder 3.0. There are no LEGALLY REGISTERED users by that name.
