If everything is just groups of molecules, including people, is love more like gravity than we know?
No. Gravity is essentially a single-level property: it emerges from a single basic property of the universe. Love is a very multi-level property. To get to love from the basic laws of the universe requires an extraordinarily large number of layers of explanation: fundamental particles, atoms, molecules, proteins, cells, animals, vertebrates, vivaparity, sociality, humans … before you could have an explanation, and a possible theory of, love. Complexity and emergence are real additions to basic physics, not just cosmetic.
