the reason concepts like infinity and eternity are hard to imagine is you, me, and everyone else in the world, are raised to believe that we have finite minds our brains are contained in our skull and so we believe that our minds are in our heads, which science has proven is not necessarily true, however, it is true for us PHYSICALLY and so we feel that we live inside of a body, and so we think, also, that we are limited to our body our mental limitations make it difficult to see past a finite lifespan, we know we had a beginning, (the day we were born,) so therefore we must also have an end the conscious mind hates the idea of death, but it also hates the idea of eternity – because it is so hard to imagine, so it settles for other concepts, like a restful heaven or an eternal hellfire, because it can believe in them, they feel (in our minds) like places, and our mind can imagine a place better than it can imagine death and it can imagine death, the ultimate ending, much easier than it
